RAHMAN’S "NA NA" SONG OUT OF OSCAR RACE

After winning two Grammy awards, treated as the “Oscar of music”, Indian music maestro A R Rahman’s fans are eagerly waiting for another Oscar for his song "Na na" from the film "Couples Retreat". However the song has failed to bag a nomination in the original song category for the 82nd Academy Awards.

Competing with 62 songs, Rahman's "Na na" lost out to "Almost there" ("The Princess And The Frog"), "Down in new Orleons" ("The Princess And The Frog"), "Loin de Paname" ("Paris 36"), "Take it all" ("Nine") and "The weary Kind" (Crazy Heart").

The “Na Na” song was written by A.R. Rahman, BlaaZe, Vivian Chaix and sung by A.R. Rahman, Vivian Chaix, A R Ameen(Rahman's son),Clinton and Dominic.

Couples Retreat is a comedy film directed by Peter Billingsley and written by Jon Favreau, Vince Vaughn and Dana Fox.

So Rahmaniacs, don’t feel desperate. Just celebrate his Padma Bhushan and Grammy Awards which he's won this year...
