ACTOR RAJESH KHANNA PASSED AWAY

Actor Rajesh Khanna , who is referred to as the "First Superstar" of Hindi cinema,died on 18/07/2012 Wednesday afternoon at his residence Aashirwad in Mumbai. He was suffering from cancer and the cremation will be held tomorrow morning.Mr Khanna's ex-wife, actress Dimple Kapadia, has nursed him through his illness.

 He made his debut in 1966 with "Aakhri Khat" and  appeared in 163 feature films of which 128 as the lead protagonist including 106 as the solo lead hero films and 22 two hero projects and did 17 short films.

Rajesh Khanna was a member of Parliament for the Congress Party, from the New Delhi constituency, where he won the 1992 by-election, retaining his seat until the 1996 election.

 Khanna married Dimple Kapadia in March 1973 and they separated in 1984.They lived separately, but did not complete the divorce proceedings.Their elder daughter Twinkle Khanna, an interior decorator and a former film actress, is married to actor Akshay Kumar while their younger daughter Rinke Khanna, also a former Hindi film actress, is married to a London-based investment banker Samir Saran.

 He won three Filmfare Best Actor Awards and was nominated for the same fourteen times. He received the maximum BFJA Awards for Best Actor (Hindi) – four times and nominated 25 times. He was awarded the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award in 2005. Some of his hit films are Raaz, Baharon Ke Sapne, Ittefaq and Aradhana.

ACTOR PRITHVIRAJ MARRIES BBC REPORTER SUPRIYA MENON

Young and dynamic Actor of Malayalam Film Industry, Prithviraj married his girl friend Supriya Menon today (25th April), at Palakkad. She is a journalist and worked as a BBC TV correspondent in Mumbai he wedding was attended by close family members.

Denying it was a secret affair, his mother Mallika Sukumaran said: "They have been childhood friends and we have known each other for a very long time and there was nothing secret in this.” She also told media persons that there would be two receptions - one on Saturday for family, and another the next day for the film fraternity.

Prithviraj made his debut in 2002 in the Malayalam film Nandanam directed by Renjth, and has starred in more than fifty films. His notable films are Swapnakoodu (2003), Classmates (2006), Thirakkatha (2008) and Urumi (2011)


Prithviraj made his Tamil debut through Kana Kandaen in 2005 as a sophisticated villain. His latest release in Tamil is Mani Ratnam's Raavanan, co-starring Vikram and Aishwarya Rai. Prithviraj debuted as a singer in Puthiya Mukham (2009) by singing the title song of the film, "Kaane Kaane". He won the award for Best Actor of Kerala in 2006 for his mind blowing performance in the film Vaasthavam.

Quickly undo:
In the most application software’s like Word, Excel...etc you can quickly undo the previous operation by pressing Ctrl+Z

Quickly copy the contents of above cells.
By Pressing CTRL + SHIFT we can select the contents of the above cells. Then by using the familiar key CTRL + C we can copy the contents of above cells and paste the contents anywhere in the spreadsheet by pressing CTRL +V.

Create underlines .
We can easily create underlines by selecting the text and then press CTRL + U If we have to continue that underline, then press SHIFT + Space for each underlined space you wish to create.

Create hyper links in Excel:
We can easily create hyper links in Excel, Word, or Front Page document by highlighting text and pressing "CTRL + K".


Repeat recent action: Using the F4 key in Microsoft Office we can repeat the last used action. For example, if we have changed the font of a selected text and wish to change another portion of text to the same font, we just press F4 and see the results.

Vijayaraghavan, Malayalam Actor back as Hero again

Vijayaraghavan,the son of famous dramatist and Actor N.N.Pillai, back as hero again in the Malayalam Film "Nanthuni". He will act as the character of Nanu Asan and the film is directed by debutant Hari Narayanan. A period flick set in the 1930's, 'Nanthuni' is about a village and its men saved from fatal diseases like 'Small Pox' by the only ayurveda and thantrik acaharya of the area, Nanu Asan.

In the nineties, he acted as hero in lot of films which include "Padanayakan ", directed by Nizar and "British Market". Thereafter, he excelled playing character roles and villains

'Nanthuni' will also have Saikumar, Kalasala Babu, Midhuna and Indrans in other key roles.

Audio Release of A.R.Rahman’s new Hindi Film “Yuvraj” on October-10.

The audio of the veteran film maker Subhash Ghai’s new venture “Yuvraj” is expected to be released on 10th October of this year,2008. After Ada and Jane Tu ya Jane Na, the music lovers are waitng for another treat from the maestro A.R.Rahman through Yuvraj.

The previous combination of Rahman and Ghai was a musical magic. The film was “Taal” and most of the songs are very melodious and heart capturing ones. Lyrics of the film “Yuvraj” is by Gulzar.


The film has big stars like “Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Katrina Kaif and Zayed Khan. So we can expect another musical thriller from A.R.R.

"Taxi Taxi", Superb Song for the Youth by A.R.Rahman

Most of the songs of "Sakkarakkatti" are on the hit charts now. The songs like Marudhani and Taxi Taxi are the rocking songs of the movie. The other songs, Chinnamma , Naan Epoudhu, (These two songs are the Tamil version of songs of the Hindi film "Meenkashi”), Elay,I Miss You Da should satisfy the fans of A.R.R.

Marudhani is flourished with the typical melodious style of Rahman and every fan of Rahman should always expect one excellent melody from this master composer in his every film. However I think "Taxi Taxi" is a different composition by the musical maestro. The beats of the songs are very exquisite and inspires everybody to dance with the music. One of the specialty of this fast number is it is very easy to sing as the tune is very simple.

"Taxi Taxi" is sung by Benny Dayal, Blaaze, Viviane Chaix and Javed Ali. Full credits to these singers to make this song very energetic.

The rap, portion is very rocking and this will definitely be an item number for most of the campus celebrations.

Malayalam Singer M.G.SREEKUMAR composing music for the new Tamil Film “'Poi Solla Porom'”

The audio of the film “'Poi Solla Porom'” was released in Chennai. Two Malayalam film sensations are the part of this Tamil film which is directed by the “Kireedam” fame Vijay. This film is sensational director Priyadarshan’s maiden Tamil production and the music director of this film is M.G.Sreekumar, a noted Malayalam playback singer. The movie features 'Vanam Vasapadum' Karthik, Preethy, Nasser and Nedumudi Venu in important roles.


M.G.Sreekumar already scored music for several music albums and Mohanlal starred “Thandavam”. The Malayalam music director and singer with a variety voice “Jassie Gift” sung a song for this film. The song is “Ullagame Nadaga. Shreya Ghoshal, Kailash Kher , Swetha , Karthik and Ranjith are the other singers of this film.


The film is the remake of Bollywood hit Khosla Ka Ghosla and will be a comedy entertainer like Priyan’s several hits. Established Film Director Sankar has already proved his skill as a producer and let us expect the same from “Priyan “also.

When A.R.Rahman was not available for the film "Anyan", the Mega Director Sankar chose Harris as the music director. That itself reveals the talent of this sensational music director. All the songs of Anyan are mega hits like the songs of previous films of Sankar.

The criticism of Harris pirating music (i.e., "June Ponal " song from Unnale Unnale has strong resemblance with an English song called 'All Rise' by the pop band 'Blue') from western songs is a disappointing factor to this talented musician. But, his melodious compositions like "Vaseegara" and Ayyenkaru (Annyan) attracts everybody with its excellent musical score and inspiring rhythm.

Harris entered into Tamil film Industry through the Film "Minnale in 2001.When Harris is composing music for Gautham, we always expect a mega hit song. Jayaram , who is a popular actor of both Malayalam and Tamil film industry acting as the villain of the Tamil Film “Dham Dhoom”. Jayam Ravi is the hero of the film. Jayaram was struggling with stereotyped comedy roles in Malyalam films and most of his recent Malayalam films bombed at the box office. The Villain character in Dham Dhoom may be a landmark in his acting career.

Dham Dhoom was supposed to be directed by cinematographer Jeeva and he started the works of the film but his sudden demise delayed the progress of the shooting. The latest reports implies that this biggest ever project of Indian Cinema excels audience with its technical expertise rather than its story. Kamal’s 10 different characters never surprises his usual audience since they know the extreme talent of this acting miracle through all his previous roles in Films like “Indian” ,Avvai Shanmukhi”, Alavanthan Guna…etc.

Director K.S Ravikumar was overjoyed, and said: “No movie of mine has met with such an overwhelming reaction. I’m ecstatic.” All these stars voiced their reactions after a special screening this morning for important people in the film industry. There were several others who emerged from the screening, stunned and congratulating Kamal for pulling of what could prove the movie of the year.

Surya: “Stunning. I’m not going to be able to sleep for a month, Dasavatharam will haunt my dreams. “Kamal’s Annachi character is his funniest performance ever.”

Director K.Balachandar didn’t speak – he ran to Kamal and tried lifting him up physically to show his applause. Kamal quickly stopped him and they hugged.

The music of the film is not so good . Though Hemesh has composed awesome songs for this film , most of them are not suitable for this film. Tamil flavor is retained only in the Mukunda number . A.R.Rahman or Harris Jayaraj should have been selected for scoring such technically flourished films rather than taking this type of experiments.



Any way, Kamal should be appreciated for his natural and flexible acting style. That alone makes this film a great success.
