BEWARE OF ‘BOM SABADO’ ORKUT SCRAPS!



Many people on Orkut receiving scraps form their friends with words “Bom Sabado!” Remember, these scraps are sent without the consent of Orkut profile owner. Bom Sabado is a Worm which has attacked the social networking service Orkut on September 25, 2010. Orkut Officials and Security Professionals advised users not to Log in Orkut until they clean the Worm. If you’ve logged into Orkut, just clear your cache/cookies and change your Orkut password.
“Bom Sabado” means “Good Saturday” in Portuguese. This Bom Sabado worm flooding scrapbooks and also it seems to be adding affected Orkuteers to new Orkut groups/communities. Those who open the scrap get infected. Some settings are automatically changed and porn communities are added to the profile with out the consent of profile owner.
The worst thing is that the profile owner cannot unjoin from these communities and cannot report this bug to Google
Security Measures:
If you get the bom sabado scrap from any of your friend, close the Orkut immediately. DO NOT VISIT YOUR FRIEND’S PROFILE! Otherwise your cookies will also get stolen and your account will be used to post scrap to your friends.

If you visited infected profile of your friend, automatically some communites will already be added to your account. Try to un join these communities. Then immediately close Orkut and change your Google account’s password, security question, secondary email and mobile number.

O.N.V.KURUP WON JNANPITH AWARD





O.N.V.Kurup, famous Malayalam poet and lyricist from Kerala, won Jnanpith Award, the highest literary award in India for the year 2007. He is the fifth Keralite to win this award. Earlier awardees were G ShankaraKurup, SK Pottakkadu,Thakazhi Siva Sankara Pillai and M.T. Vasudevan Nair.

O. N. V.'s first published poem was 'Munnottu' (Forward) and his first poetry collection named Porutunna Soundaryam, came out in 1949. Some of his other poetic works are Dahikunna Panapatram, Uppu, Bhumikku Oru Charama Geetam, Mrigaya, Ujjayini, Karutha Pakshiyude Pattu, Thonnyaksharangal, Swayamvaram, Aparahnam, Aksharam, Mayil Peeli and Bhairavante Thudi.

57TH NATIONAL FILM AWARDS DECLARED! AMITHABH BACHCHAN WON BEST ACTOR AWARD.



National Film Awards-2010 which is presented to the best of Indian Cinema released during the year 2009 was announced on 15th September-2010
Amitabh Bachchan won the award for Best Actor for his outstanding performance in the film “Paa”. This is his third national award. Actress Anannya Chatterjee won the best actress award for her role in the Bengali film “Abohoman”. Malayalam film “Kutty Srank” directed by Shaji. N.Karun won 6 awards.

PLAY BACK SINGER SWARNALATHA PASSED AWAY!





One of the most versatile playback singers of India, Swarnalatha, passed away at the age of 37 due to lung problems. Born in Kerala's Palakkad district, Swarnalatha had sung in various languages including Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam since 1989.

No one can forget her peppy number song “Mukkala Mukabala”from the Tamil film “Kathalan” composed by A R Rahman.
Swarnalatha, a favourite of AR Rahman and Ilayaraja, has sung nearly 6,000 songs in seven Indian languages. She made her debut in ‘Neethikku Thandanai' with the song ‘Chinnachiru Kiliye Kannamma ‘composed by M.S.Viswanathan.

Swarnalatha known for her incredible voice dynamics won the 1995 National Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer for her rendition of the famous song "Porale Ponnuthayi" from the film Karuththamma. She bagged the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for best female playback singer for Povomma Oorkolam from “Chinna Thambi”.

MURALI, TAMIL FILM ACTOR PASSED AWAY


Murali, Tamil film actor who appeared in leading and supporting roles throughout his career died on Wednesday (08-09-10) following a massive heart attack. He, aged 46 had acted in over 100 films, complained of chest pain this morning and was rushed to a private hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.He is survived by his wife and two sons, including Atharva, who made his film debut recently in the film “Baana Kathadi“.

He, son of famous Kannada film director Siddalingaia, has acted with many stars including Vijaykanth, Prabhu, Sathyaraj, Prabhu Deva, Surya, Parthiban, Sarath Kumar and Mammootty. He made his debut in Tamil film in 1984 playing the lead role in “Poovilangu”, directed by Ameerjhan. His notable films are ‘Idhayam’, ‘Pudu Vasantham’, ‘Porkalam’ and ‘Sundara Travels’.

Murali won the Tamil Nadu best actor award in 2001 for his performance in Kadal Pookal. His last film was “Banna kathaadi”.

MAMMOOTTY AND MOHANLAL IN “ARA KALLAN MUKKAL KALLAN”



Super star Mohanlal and Mammootty joining hands once again after the huge success of blockbuster movie "Twenty-20". The movie is now tentatively titled as '"Arakkallan Mukkakallan"'. With this new film, the noted script writers Sibi-Udayan's are debuting as the director duos. The movie produced by Mammootty's Play House will grace the theaters as the biggest Onam release in 2011.


Mollywood Kings Mohanlal and Mammootty have acted together over 50 films so far and the notable ones are Padayottam, Sandhyakku Virinja Poovu, Aalkkoottathil Thaniye, Adiyozhukkukal, Padayani, Adimakal Udamakal, Manu Uncle, No. 20 Madras Mail, Harikrishnans and Twenty:20.
